 There are wide investment opportunities in the Iraqi mining sector, where a vast number of industrial minerals and raw   materials are present all over the Iraqi Territory.

 Iraq Geological Survey (GEOSURV) is the government authority concerned with geological survey mineral exploration,   and it is also responsible for the mining sector investment policy, rules and regulations.

 GEOSURV now offers several investment opportunities for minerals and industrial raw materials exploitation such as   phosphate, native sulphur, sulphate, silica sand, red clay, etc. The detailed description of these opportunities is illustrated   in the following paragraphs.

The Iraqi Geological Survey the official sponsor of the Iraqi Journal of Geology and Mining is pleased to announce  you that the Iraqi Journal of Geology and Mining has ranked third place in the Arab world in the field of natural and life science

According to the classification of the impact factor and reference citations for the Arab journals (Arcif) consistent with the 31 international standards. The magazine was classified within the first category (Q1), which is the highest category

this step is considered an honorable achievement for researchers in particular and those involved in publishing and issuing the  journal in general.

Heavy minerals consists of a large group of  minerals with a high specific density, which has a specific gravity of more than 2.89 g / cm3 , such as the minerals of  zircon and garnet and ilmenite  and magnetite and rutile and monazite and  leucoxene and  cassiterite  and, Gold whose specific density reaches 18 g / cm3  . this is the main reason why this type of minerals is called heavy minerals which are usually rich in oxides of iron and titanium and zirconium and rare earth elements.  mor....
