The purpose of these files is to define the locations of limestone suitable for cement industry where Iraq has large amount of these deposits which are suitable for ordinary cement industry besides deposits of high purity suitable for the industry of white cement.
Nineveh Governorate
They are located at Damerji and Hamam al-Alil locations in Nineveh Governorate.
The total amount of reserves in these two locations is (73.7) million tons.
The reserves are used for cement production.
Anbar Governorate
The reserves are found at Wadi abo Sfayah, Ain al-Arnab, Wadi Swab and H3 locations.
The total amount of reserves in the above-mentioned locations is (714,21) million tons and (778) million tons at H3 location.
The reserves are used for cement industry.
Al-Najaf al-Ashraf Governorate
- To the southwest of al-Najaf.
- Khuraibaht and Muradiya locations.
- Qalat Mazlum location.
Reserve The total amount of reserves at the southwest of al-Najaf including Khuraibaht, Muradiya and Qalat Mazlum locations is (1,612) billion tons.
The reserves are used for cement industry.
Muthanna Governorate
They are located at al-Salman and Busaiya locations.
Reserve The total amount of these two locations reserves is (188,5) million tons.
The reserves are used for cement industry.
Al Diwaniyah Governorate
Location The reserves are located at Wadi al-Mhairy to the southwest of al-Shan'nafiya area.
Reserve The total amount of reserves is (257,5) million tons.
The reserves are used for cement production.
