The most distinguished tasks of this division are:

             

• Carrying out topographic maps at different scales (medium and large) for the required contour period and for specified areas allocated by GEOSURV.
• Fixing the locations of geophysical and geochemical surveys (fixing the lines).
• Fixing well grids for the sake of mineral investigations.
• Specifying the areas of quarries according to the volume of the excavated quantities.
• The Division contributed in calculating the mineral reserves and preparing the required sketches.
• Fixing the engineering and construction designs onto the ground vice versa.
