The Department performs the following tasks:

1- Representing GEOSURV in courts or other authorities and preparing legal regulations.

2- To study the legal aspects concerning GEOSURV and its activities and giving counsel about them.

3- Organizing contracts and following-up the implementation of their items.

4- Bail bonds and contracts certification according to the law.

5- Managing GEOSURV property.

The Department carries out its duties through the following divisions:

1- Prosecution Division.

2- Contracts Division.
