The Department carries out the following tasks:
1- Checking receipts, vouchers and entries.
2- Following-up the activities of audit committees and the taken actions about them.
3- Performing monthly reconciliations with expenditures and daily reconciliations with the cashier.
4- Scrutinizing GEOSURV contracts with other entities from the accounting and financial aspects.
5- Scrutinizing monthly trial balances.
6- Protecting GEOSURV assets.
7- Supervising the proper application of administrative, commercial and financial procedures.
8- Responding to the Federal Board of Supreme Audit remarks.
The Department performs its tasks through the two following divisions:
1- Auditing expenditures and contracts.
2- Scrutinizing salaries and allowances.
