GEOSURV aims to contribute in supporting the national economy in the fields of exploring and mineral prospecting, promoting and developing the investment of mineral resources in the Iraqi territories and territorial waters within its international borders, documenting, processing and management of mineral and geological data circulation to contribute in spreading and developing the mineral industry in all its stages, and to supervise the application of the enforced Law of Organizing Mineral Investment. GEOSURV participates in the continuous developing projects which are concerned with geology or one of its fields, executing projects and present consultation and minute documented information to the private and public sectors to contribute in developing the Iraqi community depending upon the most modern scientific means.
